I always have to shake my head when I listen to "I Wanna Be Your Man", and I think that Ringo sings it really great But then I have to think to the Rolling Stones' version, and that one is real crap (sorry for all Stones fans), 'cause the guitar riffs are really lame and Mick Jagger sings it really bad

I think John got it right when he said it wasnt anything noteworthy proved by giving it to the Rolling Stones ,"we weren't going to give them anything great, right". Many of the words were knocked off in about 5 minutes which speaks volumes. Only thing of any note about the song is that it inspired Mick Jagger and Keith Richards to write their own songs.

Its good to listen to every once in a while but works better as a bbc recording IMHO. Tho for some reason Ringo could never sing the song the whole way thru with the right words in ...

i find this song pretty enjoyable, but it isn't my fav. one or anything. i can listen to it from time to time, but it could appear anoying at some point. i'm not a big fan of ringo's singing really (forgive me). anyway, the song is catchy and it's from those hit-songs and it did its part in conquering america. I prefer more matured ones, but I love this particular period so I can't complain really ...

Does anyone else enjoy this one? Lyrically it's pretty uninspired, but musically it's a great little rocker.

Lots of power in such a goofy little song. I especially like John's guitar sound, with that groovy tremolo, and that organ slide George Martin does at the end of the first verse.
