I think his greatest lyrics are found in Within You Without You actually. Think for Yourself is really good aswell. I love George!

Was OANS towards Lennon and McCartney? I thought it was more to do with Northern Songs and his feeling towards his minute share in it. John and Paul did have a bigger share but that was down to George not being a prolific writer when the original terms had been drawn up and agreed.

Maybe George knew it wasnt his best song and was more open to ideas or didnt know how it was to sound. George M said that he told George H it wasnt a good song and should do something else, so George H went and wrote Within You, Without You. The ...

I love his songs, all (I think)

But my favorites are: I want to tell you (Helps me understand I'm not the only one Thanks George) Taxman is excelent too, within you without you is not for everyone I guess, but the lyrics are beautiful along with the inner light.

I like blue jay way, but the lyrics may not be his best one. Now with Piggies... I don't like very much that song, but the lyrics are not bad because he's criticizing in a not so obvious and funny way.

This might be crazy, but while the lyrics aren't the most beautiful or meaningful, "Only a Northern Song" contains some of my favorite George lyrics out there. This is hard. Erm... I really like Taxman's lyrics. "Let me tell you how it will be, there's one for you nineteen for me!"

And I agree with Blue Jay Way as being the weakest. Plus that song has always sort of scared me.

I Want To Tell You as it really does sum up how difficult it can be in communicating with someone.

Weakest - Blue Jay Way. Doesnt really say anything and i agree about the 'dont be longs' being too many.

I think "The Inner Light" has pretty good lyrics. Incidentally I only heard the song recently having just bought "Past Masters". I used to have the album "Hey Jude" and for some reasons they included the A-side "Lady Madonna" but not the B-side
