Well Fixing A Hole was on in the car yesterday and it reminded me of the line "Im taking the time for a number of things that werent important yesterday". I think thats fantastic; the normalities of life that have to be dealt with.

Fixing A Hole is one of those songs i rarely choose to play but its always a joy and delight to hear it.

Same here. IMO, another good example is "She's leaving home", especially this part:

Father snores as his wife gets into her dressing gown
Picks up the letter that's lying there
Standing alone at the top of the stairs
She breaks down and cries to her husband
"Daddy, our baby's gone"

These lines are always making me sad, whenever I listen to them.

You know, I've never made that observation about "Fixing A Hole"...A very insightful and interesting thought, Ben.
