Try your hand at this doozy!
This quiz gives you 19 minutes to name every Beatles song on their studio albums! Not that trick you say? Try to do just that under pressure!

The time elapsed for me when I had names 126 songs out of the 192. Yikes! I’ll try my hand at it again it a while…

So! Who’s up for the ultimate challenge?

http://www.sporcle.com/games/b…..ssongs.php

PS: I barely remembered any songs from Rubber Soul , Beatles For Sale or Revolver … I guess that means I need to tune in some more!

Tongue, lose thy light. Moon, take thy flight… see ya, George!

*gulp* a-hard-days-night-ringo-6 I’m not sure I’m ready for this.

Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

Me neither…

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition.

That’s a good one. I got 161 out of 192, but ran out of time while I was still writing. I was stumped on the George Martin songs from Yellow Submarine , and had a blank on a lot of Rubber Soul . A few songs on the White Album too.

It’s funny how you can often remember what comes next by singing the end of a song.

Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs

Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

Exactly! I make a lot of mixed CDs to listen to in the car, and at the end of each song I always find myself starting to sing the next one on the album… like it’s been burned into my brain for eternity.

It is tricky- it’s funny how you just blank. I checked out the ones I missed afterword- doh! They’re songs you know off by heart but at the time, you just can’t think of them!

Give it a try everyone! Remember, no cheating! a-hard-days-night-john-3

I tried and failed miserably. I can do it normally, but I can’t think under pressure and not in that space of time. I blanked on most of the White Album but ironically remembered all the George Martin compositions relatively easily.

I’ll try again another time and I’ll try it systematically, going in order, rather than just typing in the next song that comes into my head.

But I cheated a bit. I got help from my brother on the White Album ….a-hard-days-night-ringo-2

I’ll try it by myself when my brain is more focused.

192 out of 192. I cheated though, I opened the source code and stopped the timer. I did get around 30 minutes though.

176…I stumped myself on Yellow Submarine trying to think of those stupid names, it’s not Sea of Meanies it’s The March Of The Meanies ! I am pretty proud of myself, but I should have just skipped those longer names like The Continuing Story Of Bungalow Bill and Everybodys Got Something To Hide Except Me and My Monkey. Damnit John!a-hard-days-night-john-1

I got 150 out of 192. It’s hard to remember what songs you have already written down after a while.a-hard-days-night-ringo-14

OK…I got 164 before time expired, but didn’t realize those “yellow submarine” instrumentals counted! Actually, i couldn’t click on the link here from work, just typed up the titles as quick as i could.

I  got every track from Rubber Soul through Let It Be with no problem – unless you count that damnable Yellow Submarine , which I think of as a 4-song album…

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.
