OfflineI cant't say anything to the stewie thing. I just know his german voice and that's different. Anyway which version do you prefer, the get back version (bootleg), the single version (past masters, blue album) or the rooftop version (movie, naked). I haven't heard the get back version very often so i can't really say something about it but i think the other 2 versions are both great, i think i like the rooftop version abit more because i think it features closer vocal harmony

OfflineThe '69 single b-side version, has more soul & feeling to the recording followed by the rooftop versions (but not the edit on Let It Be Naked). There is a looseness and freedom and joy to the rooptop performances (something missing from many of the Get Back recordings) plus its cool hearing John doing what he always did when singing live, messing up the words and adding in noises and stuff instead - LIBN stupidly edited those out. By the get back version i presume you mean the one that Glyn Jones selected for the unreleased Get Back albums – its a little too rough and underperformed. It would have been difficult to mix it in a way to make it sound professional.

OfflineI like the edit of naked much better than the film version, it sounds much more professionall (that's what i like most about naked) and george martin did always use edits of different take (yeah, for sure naked is not like the original get back album, it sounds very professional and that's awesome (but i think the martin mixes of get back and let it be are the most professional). I think the get back sessions had a very bad luck. You know the best take of get back didn't feature a coda, the best take of let it be featured a bad solo, lennon forgot the lyrics during the best take of don't let me down but george martin did the thing that was best he edited like he had done in all prior years. So in fact i think a complete let it be album produced by george martin would be a very good idea (every song should sound like the single version of gt back and let it be)

Ok…. Is it just me or do John's vocals resemble Stewie Griffin's voice from Family Guy?! I laugh every time I hear the song because I am imagining Stewie singing….
That's funny. When I think about it, there is some resmblence to Stewie's voice of exasperation when John sings the end of some lines (…She done me good…).
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.

I have no problem with assembling different studio takes to create a pristine master, but don't think the practice should be done to LIVE material – at least not if they're attempting to create something honest, as they were in the case of Let It Be.

no, just…no. Ugh. I hope this image of Stewie won't pop into my mind from now on when I hear it…
