For the musicians out there, 'Norwegian Wood' certainly lends itself to other instruments and arrangements...I perform it with a violinist, and we expand a section of the minor change in the bridge to a more open jazz waltz, with a few twists...It is a wonderful melody and chord change, and the 3/4 time is always a nice refresher

Nevermind Norwegian Wood. I swear that you can hear a flute on If I Needed Someone, right after the guitar solo.

It's on the left channel right as they're signing "time to spend". Does anyone know what I'm talking about?

Woops -- my bad: it's that other Lennon song that always reminds me of "Norwegian Wood" -- namely, "You've Got to Hide Your Love Away", which I see is noted by this site under the "Songs" tab appropriately to have among its instrumentation:

"Johnnie Scott: tenor flute, alto flute"
