Was reading Joe's entry for Dizzy Miss Lizzy and was intrigued about it being renamed from the original 'Dizzy Miss Lizzie' (or 'Dizzy, Miss Lizzy) so went to wiki to see if it had more and part of its entry reads
The song was originally thought about by band manager Brian Epstein, and was later introduced to Ringo Starr, the band's drummer. He made sure that the band recorded it after loving its upbeat rhythm and interesting lyrics
however ive read before and Joe's entry also says The Beatles performed the song in their early days ("Dizzy Miss Lizzie had been a part of The Beatles' live repertoire since their earliest days").
So is wiki saying Brian heard the song later on (early '65?) then played the track to Ringo who suggested it to others who had forgotten it(which ive never heard in my life) or is it another bit of beatle hocum? Anyone heard or read anything to support wiki?
