I always think the “Don’t know where and we don’t know when” line is a pastiche of The Beach Boys .
Ringo’s solo version misses out the “O-U-T spells out” bit strangely, but a real throwaway line anyway.

He has it once or twice towards the end. Then at the end, he spells Christmas.
