but overall I think the opening to "Come Together" is absolutely amazing - that "shoot" - you can't even tell it's a human voice - it's just a sound, an attitude that tells you that something very very cool is on it's way.

 

Plus it opens the album - so it does double intro duty.

 

believe me in 1969 when that sound came over the speakers - we were all flipped.
