Thought I'd bring a little life back to this thread with a new wonderful harmony.

I've finally made my way to "Yes It Is" in the anthologies, and I find the harmonies abso-bloody-lutely fantastic! It's breathtakingly beautiful, especially "please don't wear red tonight, this is what I said tonight…"  Hearing Paul and John's vocals mesh backe with George's is just… sensational!

Can we just say Rubber Soul? I know If I Needed Someone is a George song, but man Lennon and McCartney make that song! I've also always liked that little Rocky Racoon harmony near the end. My favorite is probably the bow shoobie do wop of Revolution 1. Octopus's Garden also has beautiful harmonies in ita-hard-days-night-ringo-10

I love The Word as well, especially Paul because he sounds like he's so out of control, or maybe he's just so happy to have discovered that the word truly is love!

How about "If I Fell"?

Pretty awesome harmonies – all the others listed are also great!

I agree with all your choices… If I fell is a favorite of mine.

What about Please Mr. Postman? You believe John's begging to the postman and my favorite part… when John sings, a-hard-days-night-john-1and the boys clap, a-hard-days-night-george-4a-hard-days-night-paul-3a-hard-days-night-ringo-7and then they go back to play… and the improvisation at the end… I get the goosebumps.. I love it.

"You've Really Got A Hold On Me" and "In My Life" are stand outs.

Actually I would prefer using the option "all of the above".

I had a really long one earlier, but then "Safari unexpectedly quit."
Here are the best ones from my list:

"You tell me that you've heard every sound there is, and your bird can swing."

"When… when I was young… I never needed help in any way."

"You're Going to Lose That Girl." "Yes, yes, you're gonna lose that girl."

"We said our good-byes. Ah, the night before." That's Polythene Dan's favorite. Let's just do everything from Help!

"Nowhere Man." Whole song, especially the beginning. A cappella rules!

"You Won't See Me." "Ooh la la la" and "No, I wouldn't, no, I wouldn't."

"She… We gave her most of our lives… is leaving… sacrificed most of our lives…. home. We gave her everything money could buy. She's leaving home after living along Bye, bye. for so many years."

For the sake of time, let's go with every call-and-response song they did.

End of "I Want to Tell You." "I've got time."

Fluffed lines in "Please Please Me" and "I'll Get You."

"Paperback Writer." A cappella, "Frère Jacques," and the end.

"Because." Do I even have to explain?

Un-faves:

"Mr. Moonlight." Don't give me that look. You know what I'm talking about.

"Anna(Go to Him)." See above.

Yeah. The non-"Tomorrow Never Knows" Revolver John songs have pretty cool harmonies, like "Dr. Robert" ("Well, well, well, you're feeling fine.")

one of the tightest and best (to me) is "I Saw Her Standing There".  Johns part is so hard to sing

I agree with pretty much all of those… my friends and I tried to sing "Nowhere Man" a capella (we get bored) and it was an absolute disaster.

Same thing with "She's Leaving Home"a-hard-days-night-ringo-6

I like the harmonies on "She Came In Through the Bathroom Window" as well! "This Boy" and "Yes It Is" are the definite staples, though. a-hard-days-night-george-9

I'm in love, but I'm lazy.

Nowhere Man's harmonies are so beautiful, with the ah la-la-la's.

My favorite right now would be Here, There, and Everywhere because they just sound like a doo-wop group, and near the end with those finger snaps, they just sound so smooth.

The end of "She loves you" will always be my favourite Beatles harmony!

"Ticket to ride" has one of the most awesome two-part harmonies ever. Those high notes by Paul are really incredible.

"No reply" in the middle eight!

"Sunking"

"I'll be back"

"Taxman"

"Your mother should know"

"All you need is love" (it's really interesting how they vary the backings, and Paul's improvisations are the show-stopper)

"When I get home"

"Chains" is another cool harmony song.

After all there are too many great songs to mention here…

Help: I like how the chorus anticipate the lyrics in the verses.

Girl: a very serious matter with a juvenile joke "tit, tit, tit ,tit…"

Because: quite obvious.

I'd like to say "thank you" on behalf of the group and ourselves and I hope we passed the audition. John Lennon

Indeed, that is a good example of Beatles brilliance and Beatle humour. They never took themselves too seriously, that's one of the great things about them.

If you listen close you can even hear how they nod to each other and say "tit tit" just before the middle eight starts (ok, you cannot HEAR the nod, just imagine how they agree on the joke while the tape is rolling).

I could join you! What part do you want me to sing: John, Paul, or George? I know all three. If you're parts-deaf like my dad, Paul is high, George is low, and John is the melody. But I'll expect you knew that already.

I always sing the lowest part, 'cause I have a low, man-ish singing voice a-hard-days-night-ringo-12 so I'm usually George. My friend's mom, who's a vocal coach, says I have the same vocal range as Julie London and Audrey Hepburn, everyone laughs at me when I sing, 'cause I have a really girly speaking voice.a-hard-days-night-paul-11
