Billy Preston did. Check with Joe if you don't believe me or watch the footage on YouTube.
Sorry, blonde moment. I am embarassed.
And rightfully embarassed you are!
One stupid and four easy questions (five easy questions counting ADITL), and you don't even know the correct answers!
I mean, this IS a Beatles fan site! How could anyone here NOT know about Billy Preston's cool keyboard solo?!
Sorry, but I HAVE to be a wise-ass about this.
I don't speak for Joe here, I'm saying all this for my own bidding, but I don't think we need any self-righteous fans on this site. Everyone is new to the world of Beatles at some point in time- perhaps Sunni didn't realize that there are some seasoned fans here. There's no need to demean needlessly.

BTW ~ Bingo again, skye!
Well it's easy once you've found the correct page. (Care to guess what book I found it in?)
Here's one of my own: What was Paul McCartney's nom de plume?
Do you mean on their Scottish tour with Johnny Gentle? That'll be Paul Ramon. Or later on, The Fireman? Or in the 70s, Percy Thrillington? Or as a 60s songwriter, Bernard Webb? I'm sure there's a full list out there somewhere.

Sorry I got carried away. She made an effort to entertain others, and I had no right to make fun of her.
Please delete my own stupid remarks in your post. Thank you.

OfflineSo, I've learned my lesson, and maybe I can make up for my faux pas by coming up with my own (easy!!) trivia questions.
1.) Which famous French folk song is used for backing vocals in which song?
2.) Which member of the Rolling Stones is actually playing an instrument on an official Beatles record?
3.) Name all Beatles songs where Paul is the main dummer (I think there are 7).
4.) Name all Beatles songs without drums (drum kit). Only "official" songs, no Anthology tracks (I count 14).
5.) Which song has a sung bass-line?
6.) Which song has guitars, drums, but no bass at all?
7.) Who is the artist with the most covers by the Beatles?
Admins know everything, so maybe not all answers at once!
So, have fun!

Norman's bio? I think that's where I first saw it. (But I'm sure it was quite easily googled!)
I want to know if my answers were right re: George's guitars on The White Album! (Only partially-googled…)
Okay, I'll answer some of paulsbass's questions (the two I can answer without googling, anyway…):
1.) Which famous French folk song is used for backing vocals in which song?
Frere Jacques in Paperback Writer
2.) Which member of the Rolling Stones is actually playing an instrument on an official Beatles record?
Brian Jones played the saxophone on You Know My Name

Offline5.) Which song has a sung bass-line?
Paul "scats" the bass line in "I Will," if that's what you meant.
6.) Which song has guitars, drums, but no bass at all?
Tim Riley claimed in his book that "Two of Us" had no bass in it, but I think that's rather suspect.
7.) Who is the artist with the most covers by the Beatles?
This is a total crap-shoot, but … Little Richard?

5) "I will" is correct. On the stereo-version there is only Paul singing, no real bass.
6) I was thinking of another one. "Two of us" is hard to tell, if the bass line is played on a guitar. I think so, so you're answer might count as well!
In fact, "For you blue" doesn't have bass either, I just realized. I'm still thinking of another one.
7) Nope, not Little Richard. I'm counting the "Live at the BBC" album too, btw!

True, but I remembered seeing it in the Complete Beatles Chronicles and, well, I need to justify all these books I've bought!

Haha, it's figures that he would have more than one.
I'm thinking of the one he used when he donated money to The International Times and gave to friends so their letters would stand out from the fan mail.

"Well, I'll have a bash…"

Hmmm… Apollo C. Vermouth? Billy Martin?
