For me, they'd have to be "Yellow Submarine", "Come Together", and "All You Need Is Love". I mean they are good and all, but they just get so annoying after like the first 3 times you hear them! Whenever I ask someone what they're favourite Beatles' song is, I always groan when they say one of those three. They're more that get annoying, but those are my top three.

I wouldn't say annoying; but after a minute or so of "I Want You (She's So Heavy)" I tend to think, "OK - you want her, I get it. Can we move on please?"

Whats The New Mary Jane. Its existant irritates me. 6 minutes of a John & Yoko private in-joke which bombs within 30 seconds, and, like any joke which is not funny, the longer you listen to it the more you consider extreme measures to get it over with.

Hold Me Tight. If anyone wants to ever torture me for information make me listen to the outtakes, would rather listen to the worst of the Get Back Sessions. I trully dread listening to it on With The Beatles.

Sgt Pepper/With A Little Help From My Friends. The biggest reason why the Pepper album isnt that great, two very mediocre songs back to back.

Oi…really? I love Sgt. Pepper! It's one of those songs I find myself singing all the time! With a Little Help From My Friends is a great song, too, but it can get old after awhile.

I Want You (She's So Heavy) It's just all to repetitive for me. I usually only listen to about half of it then skip to the next song, and when I do listen to the whole thing I really only half listen to it.

Dizzy Miss Lizzy I don't really know why, but this song really annoys me, I just can't listen to it. Unless, of course, I'm listening to Help! straight through. Then I have to.

Good Night I don't know if it's Ringo, or if it's just because it drags so much, but I have to be in the mood for this one, because if I'm not it annoys me and I get mad.

Yip. To be brutally honest if im not in that place (wherever that is) these two are a drag to listen to and i fail to see the attraction. I can quite happily ditch both, start with Lucy and enjoy a fantastic album.  Ive done the isolated multitracks of both and been blown away with the vocals, bass etc yet when i listen to them compelte its still a half hearted sigh. I dont know why but its always been the way, ive just never had any affection for either song. Sometimes you go thru a phase of liking a song that previosuly you didnt, ive never had more than a shrug of the shoulders to Pepper/WALH.

Forgot about Good Night, which sums it up. It exists but it dont get much airplay from me. The strings are what get to me and its too slow, i want to shout "Get a move on!".

Why is this song so hated!? Beatles fans seem to spit acid on it and defend themselves from its presence with a crucifix wherever I go, but I really don't understand it. I mean, it's definitely sub-par, and definitely filler but it's not THAT awful surely, just a bouncy pop song, quite catchy.

The rhythm drags and is dull, John and George sound bored, Pauls trying to create energy but fails, and it lasts too long. Apart from that its just about bearable.

I Want You is a good song but far too long, it was a good decision to put it to the end of the aside, because you had to change side anyway so you could just do it during I want you. But I listen to every beatles song on my cell phone (or my ipad at home) and when I want you comes I have to take my cell phone out of my pocket, then switch it on and the skip to the next song, I hate it

Oh well, this is a thread where we all can diss other people's favourite songs. How nice!

Ok, but when we're allowed to do THAT, I'm allowed to diss people's dissing, right?

Anyone thinking these two are mediocre in any way (or Pepper not a great album) has some serious issues.

I pity the soul who doesn't feel the magic of the "virtual" audience and who never imagined how John fooled around on-stage while the horns come up and makes the "audience" laugh… It's true magic.

And I pity anyone unable to appreciate Paul's insane bass work on WALHFMF, or Ringo's vocals, or the backing vocals, or the drums, or the guitar intro, or the last chord, or the overall message, or the lyrics, or the story with Ringo not wanting them to sing "would stand up and throw tomatoes at me" because he was afraid people might actually do that to him…

Everyone's entitled to their opinions, bu you couldn't be more wrong. Those two songs are two big reasons why Peppers was and is considered one of the all time albums. True magic.

But sadly that's not for everyone.

I want you (She's so heavy) is EASILY in my top ten Beatles songs, one of the few fixed nominations.

The repetitivness (??) of the lyrics is an important part of the magic.

If there's nothing more to say, why make too many words?

Fantastic song, fantastic drum groove, fantastic atmosphere, fantastic organ by Billy Preston, fantastic lead guitar, insane bass, fantastic melody, fantastic vocals by John.

And it's nowhere near too long, it's perfect, it's epic, it's heavyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!

Since everybody else threw in some nominations, here are my own very personal ones:

Don't pass me by (slighty better in the faster mono version).

You won't see me (dragging Ooooh-lalalas, especially in combination with Nowhere man's Ooooooh-lalalas)

I want to tell you (out of key backing vocals)

A taste of honey (matter of mood, sometimes it's nice, sometimes it's too cheesy)

MAtchbox (not Ringo's best vocals)

Obladi, Oblada can get on your nerves, sure enough.

Oh Darling! (sorry all fellow Paul fans, it's really good and everything but at least one bridge and chorus too long, and the arpeggio guitar and the screaming are just too much – for me!)

Rock and Roll music (great vocals and everything but I always thought it's just toooooo long).

All in all the Beatles still have an amazingly low amount of songs that are able to get annoying at all.

that's why they're the best!

In response to the Pepper thing, although it's obviously magical as a sheer milestone, groundbreaking in nearly every aspect, and amazingly sounds completely fresh so many decades later… I can understand people thinking it's not really that great. I've often found some of the songs themselves, while dolled up in all sort of beautiful production techniques, sag slightly. Of course they spring to life when performed and recorded with the Beatles' skill and vibrancy, but compared to Rubber Soul and Revolver before it (both albums chock-full of absolutely A+ pop songs) Sgt Pepper is a notch below in terms of songwriting.

Obviously, this is just an opinion, but it's always struck me that Sgt Pepper gets the accolade of "best ever" so regularly because of its production, long-reaching influence, concept and studio wizardry rather than the tunes themselves. This is NOT to say that any of the songs on the record are poor, and the majority of them are very good indeed.

Anyway, songs that I consider to "get annoying fast":

Yesterday (before anyone castrates me, it's certainly a godly song which deserves its praise, but I've just heard it too many times)

Don't Pass Me By

You Like Me Too Much

Good Night

I'll Cry Instead

Only A Northern Song

As has been said many times Pepper as a whole is a great album (the concept, history, impact, cover, package and anything else thats to be thrown in) but a very few number (in my opinion the 2 stated above Pepper/With A Little Help) arent that great independently. As also mentioned previously ive heard the bass, lead guitar, vocals etc on the isolated multi's and they sound great, an absolute joy to behold. Together all in its not that great.

For me neither of these 2 work on the Blue Album when taken out of context however i understand totally why they are there.
