George is nearly silent the whole way thru, John wants to be anywhere else but there and Ringo goes along with it, probably out of requirement. Only Paul shows any real enthusiasm, the kind that eventually led to criticism and accucations of 'people pleaser'. However despite that its great to hear.

Happy to Joe. Like any beatle fan i feel that their recordings should be shared freely and willingly - unless they've been officially released and out there when you should pay, at the best possible price.

Have listened to this and whats on the Purple Chick From Then To You bootleg and only 1 minute 31 of the 25:50 tape is on there and even that is very small fragments.

There is another track on the bootleg that lasts 12 minutes. This is most certainly to be from this same recording session but is completely different, for one it has sound effects added by the Beatles.

Please do post the link - I'd be interested to hear that.

My position on bootlegs is reasonably relaxed, though I don't want this to be a place where people trade illegal material. What I'm definitely not in favour of is people sharing stuff that's available commercially - the last thing I want is the record label and rights holders on my back.

I've found some more info on that Xmas session - I'll put together an article on it.

Considering that the blog site has links to countless downloads of interviews, unreleased clips etc, i wont post the link as i consider the blog to be contra band, at least slightly shadey in the legalistic department, and i dont want this site, Joe or anyone else getting sued.

Therefore i consider the blog content to be contra band, at least slightly shadey in the legalistic department.

But this beatles recording is out there.

During a hunt round beatle blogs i found a 26 minute recording of the beatles attempting to record their 1965 christmas message but this is completely different from the 18 minute 'Think For Yourself' session chat recorded 8th November commonly heard on bootlegs. Its dated as being recorded late on 19th October 1965 with no George Martin about and Mark Lewinsohn didnt know about it. Its definately John, Paul, George and Ringo and its crystal clear sound.

Found a website that describes whats on an edited tape of this.

Has anyone else heard [of] this? Im absolutely thrilled to find a beatle recording that i didnt even ...
