It's going to have to be people who have made an impact on the world post-the arrival of The Beatles.

Ozzy Osbourne – Not only is he The Godfather of Heavy Metal, but he is also one of the most talked about celebrities of the last 15 years due to his loveable thug personality, and uncontrollably funny antics. He HAS to be their.

Jimmy Page-Everything cool about guitarists in one man. Legend.

Jimi Hendrix-What more can I add?

Roger Waters-One of the greatest lyricists of all time and the unstoppable force behind Pink Floyd's decade spanning career.

John Entwhistle-Voted the greatest bassist of all time by Rolling Stones magazine, and for good reason.

Freddie Mercury-Nothing to add

Robert Plant-On Led Zeppelin's first concert, his wailing vocals were so loud that they broke the speakers. People in the back row could still hear him, without the speakers. What more to add?

Homer Simpson-He doesn't even exist, yet you say his name and everyone knows who he is.

John Cleese-The best known member of Monty Python, a group that did for comedy what The Beatles did for music.

Al Pacino-If he doesn't get on this cover than he'll give Paul an offer he can't refuse.

Jules Winnfield-On the topic of mob movies, how can you not have this guy?

John Belushi-Perhaps the greatest comedy actor of all time. "TOGA TOGA"

James Rolfe-This would never happen but oh boy if it did.

I've probably listed too many. :p

All four Beatles, except each picture of each Beatle would be from a different year.

I'm Necko.  I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.

So let's go with A Hard Day's Night George, Rubber Soul Paul, Sgt. Pepper's John, and Abbey Road Ringo.

The mention of Ed Sullivan made me think how great it would be to have a Sgt Pepper cover featuring dozens of people from throughout their career, from Stuart Sutcliffe and Allan Williams to Phil Spector and Allen Klein. Someone should make that.

Stuart is all ready on the cover.  I wouldn't put Phil Spector on there, not because of his work on 'Let It Be' for I thought he did great, but because of his murder conviction.  At the time, The Beatles considered the album to be their greatest work and wanted anybody that they considered "great" to be on the cover, Phil's become anything but "great" with the choices that he's made and something tells me that Paul would veto his inclusion.  John wanted a certain murderous German Dictator included on the original cover but was vetoed by the others, one of the few examples in their history where the others actually said "no" to John, 'Cold Turkey' not withstanding.  John didn't succumb to their wishes entirely however, for that said Dictator IS actually in there BEHIND the four Beatles…:-)

Hitler isn't on the cover – he was removed before the final photos were taken. Johnny Weissmuller (Tarzan) was put in his place.

Here is the story, along with a photograph of the cover session, showing the Hitler cutout standing off to the side. I think it's amazing that they actually got so far as to make a Hitler cutout, before deciding that they shouldn't use it.

During the extensive 30-hour 1981 Radio Program 'The Beatles : The Days In Their Lives', Art Director Robert Fraser claims in an interview clip that "he's actually in there behind the four Beatles".  History will never know but my guess is that the backlash would've been considerable had they'd granted John's wishes, maybe even more controversial than the 'Two Virgins' cover that appeared the following year and most certainly a step up from the 'Butcher Cover' the year before…:-)
