It kills me to choose. Some of my favorite songs are on this album! I guess I have to go with A Day In The Life. On top of loving the song itself, I started singing along with it the first time I heard it. I knew exactly when the singing started and ended. On top of that, I knew the lyrics. Yeah, I was a little freaked out for a bit.

While "A Day in the Life" is an obvious treasure, I'd to go with either "LSD" (for its simplicity and soaring glory), or Harrison's spiritually enlightening "Within You Without You", which I think is underrated because it was so unconventional for The Beatles. But listen to just all the details in the entire composition. An Eastern symphony, in a sense.

Honestly, as much as I've always wanted to claim that Sgt. Pepper is the great masterpiece that so many others claim it is, I just can't. For me, the most impeccable production values in the world can't cover up the core fact that this isn't the best batch of songs the guys ever came up with. Paul wrote (or, at least, was the primary writer of) 8 of the album's 13 tracks (along with contributing the middle section to John's "A Day in the Life")... but, despite this, I feel it's the only Beatles album (Yellow Submarine notwithstanding) to which ...

Hmm.... I do love the title track because it just has the feeling of pulling the audience in. I like feeling like a part of it all. Also, the harmonies are great but when are they ever NOT great?

But A Day in the Life takes the cake, you can't argue with that. I love the verse about the holes, I think that's my favourite part.

I know it's pretty typical for someone's favorite song on Sgt. Pepper to be "A Day In The Life", but aren't there always valid reasons for a song to be so popular amongst so many? So, I'm going with:

Well, A Day In the Life always leaves me gasping for breath in front of the ingeniousness of John. It isn't a song I would like to hear too often, though. Asides from that, She's leaving Home has awesome harmonies parts, and I like the classical instruments in it, also the mischievous "goodbye" from John at the end

Definately Johns songs (lets not go down the line of who contributed what).

The crashing drums, scorching guitar solo and insane horns of Good Morning, Morning. The psychedelic delights of Lucy. How the effects bring Mr Kite to life. And yeah "A Day In The Life, because duh!". And Johns vocals are amazing on each and every one of them. As is Ringos drumming, ignoring A Day In The Life listen to the drums on Mr Kite, will have you drolling in wonderment.

Where is the field "Sign here" ? I have the same opinion about the songs on Sgt Peppers.
