The bottom two, to me, seem like they’re supposed to be the same. Being printed in different locations or being subjected to different light conditions can explain why one has a green tint, and the other is dominated by the brown tones. As for the orange in the UK version: who knows? Maybe they were mixed differently?

No idea about the differences but I adore the cover. One of my favourite ever t-shirts was a full print of the cover (not just a box but the whole material was ‘Rubber Soul ‘). They’re looking fucking amazing in the picture and by god did they know it – and the music lives up in every way (a number of album covers look great but the music is shit). And John looking at you whilst the other three are looking elsewhere…
Of all the album covers this is it for me. Its also quite reminiscent of ‘Beatles For Sale ‘ what with the autumnal colours (my second favourite album cover).
And the original uncropped unslipped pic is great too (not as good tho).

Offline Yeah, it was a major revelation when the full photo first appeared a few years ago. And the clothes they’re wearing! That jacket of John’s! Fab.
Also, mmm’s love for the autumnal BFS cover seconded. Didn’t realize there was an uncropped version of that one as well as others from the same Hyde Park shoot available online until I was inspired to look for them just now.

Offline No. It was all over, front and back. The faces covered 95% of the front and the rest was covered in the leaves. It was magnificent and i wore it religiously.
I still have it hanging in a wardrobe even tho its not fit for use.
