Some people here are trying so hard to speak English. It's really intolerable you can barely understand them, I don't have anything against accents but their grammar is really broken. What's worse is that they code-switch between the local language and English, the local language is slowly dying out.

You say "Mam, Ma or Mum" in Ireland not "Mom". The phrase "Mam" comes from the Irish word for "Mother, Mathair or Mam (pronounced wam) which is pronounced in  English as Ma'am there is an expression in Irish:
