As I'm sure most of us have observed, ever since about the late '80s, Ringo has virtually always worn sunglasses - or at least some sort of tinted glasses - for any public or on-camera appearance.  Has he developed sensitive eyes or something, or is this just now his 'look'?  I think his stint as the Conductor on Shining Time Station was probably the last time I've seen him completely without eyewear.  a-hard-days-night-ringo-4

I've been wondering this myself. I would think it's just his 'look', as he never seemed to have poor vision before.

I've heard that people with light blue eyes can develop photosensitivity. One former member of another band I like also has blue eyes and wears sunglasses exclusively now, and cites photosensitivity due to camera flashes as the reason.

That said, another connection between Ringo and that other musician is that they had a history of substance abuse, and maybe they just don't like the way they look in their older age without the glasses.
