Gotta love Ringo's ability to surround himself with fine musicians. Ben Tench of the Heartbreakers is a nice surprise. Thanks for sharing the info.

Yeah, and it's nice to see Joe Walsh helping Ringo out again.  :)

The album's currently available on pre-order from Amazon (UK) priced at £14:00.  I've ordered mine already, and this is the (rather uninventive) cover:

Ringo's new short video (88 seconds) where he talks about the concerts in South America, Ringo 2012 and wishes everyone a merry christmas and peace and love. (It would have been below but it only shows as a click link.)

Thanks for that - I'll have a look later on.

I got an email from Amazon saying that the album's release has been pushed back a week, which means it'll be out on Monday 6th February internationally and Tuesday 7th February in the US.

I guess it's appropriate how short the video is, given the length of the album.

Sorry, couldn't help myself, and I just bought it anyway, I had just watched the Ryman DVD and liked the 2 songs on it so decided to bump its sales figures from 3000 to 3001 :)

But - I think it could have had an extra or three (some unreleased stuff, whatever).

Speaking of the cover - I have been reversing the booklet so that the pic of Ringo in the shades is on the cover, I think it looks much better as the front of an album:

I just got this album the other day. Somehow when I loaded it on my mp3 player, I put all the songs on there twice. I just started listening to it yesterday. Since I'm listening to each song twice, back-to-back, until I get around to fixing my bit of technological genius, I haven't had a chance to listen to all the songs. Anyway, here's an observation I made this morning.

In the song In Liverpool, Ringo sings: "There were places we could hide in our mind"

It took me back to There's a Place: "There, there's a place, Where I can go...And it's my mind"

I often want to escape out of mind. It is nice to know The Beatles, at least at some points in their lives, liked to escape into theirs. I bet it is really nice inside their minds.

Being inside anyones's mind would be fascinating. All the brain goop and what not to navigate through might make it tough to accomplish anything in there though. You'd need a map to navigate that maze.

Ahhh! Just realized I'm the only one online, and I'm getting off soon. Someone come! (by the way, it probably looks like I'm on 24/7 cause I keep my laptop open on my desk logged in. But I swear I'm not.

My favorite song is the one about death, at the end.  Might be one of my favorite Ringo songs.

@Expert Textpert I've tried my best to figure out how "Slow Down" is about death. Can you enlighten me on this one? Your insights and interpretations are so different and interesting. I'm all ears (er, eyes).

Now, that makes sense. Good song. R U Ready? A lot to contemplate there.
