I dont think Ringo having one hit single can be described as upstaging George who was top of the charts with both an album and single in early 1971 on both sides of the Atlantic. I think that Ringo owed a lot of his early success to George who wrote, played and produced on many of these tracks. It Don’t Come Easy has got George all over it. I don’t think Ringo played guitar on Early 1970. Back off Boogaloo has a major contribution from George and he contributed to the writing of three tracks and played on four on the Ringo Album. When George’s input ceased Ringo was less successful from 74 onwards.

There is  no doubt that Ringo made major contributions  to Beatle albums and John’s Plastic Ono Band albums. However, he was only one of several who played on All Things Must Pass .

Because this thread is about a solo Beatles effort, it doesn’t really fit into The Albums section. (Which is for focusing on the Beatles’ UK and US Discographies.) The different sections for each Beatle are used to contain solo album threads.

I think he’s referring to the Ringo Starr Albums subsection.

The Ringo albums subsection is pretty brand new. It was only created in November of last year. As such, there ARe some older album threads that haven’t been moved. It’s my understanding that the moderators and the admin do not like to move threads if it is not deemed strictly necessary, as Google does not like it or some such thing. It’s also possible that this thread was simply missed as nobody has posted in it in two years.

Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

Ahhhh I had no idea Ringo’s album section wasn’t made until just this past November. I had reported Y Not and it was moved there.

I was just doing the service of reporting the albums that needed to be moved, because I had an experience with another album thread that wasn’t in the albums section.

No, no, you did fine. I usually go to the Mother Superior Jumped The Gun thread and say something there.
