Thank you for posting this.

My opinion is - except for the acoustic guitar track segment performed by George at the beginning, the rest of the track is a single electric guitar part performed by Eric Clapton (with what sounds like occasional monitor bleed of the vocal and piano tracks).

The chords too I think are also Clapton - he sounds like he's playing them during the vocal sections. I've done that before and seen guitarists do this when overdubbing solo guitar tracks in the recording studio. That is, just play along with the song and think of things to play when called for; the ...

Sounds like two guitars to me, tho according to John C Winn John's guitar part was erased for Clapton's. Maybe remnants of John remained on the track which is what can be heard when its isolated. Wouldnt be the first time that happened on a beatles track. Who would have thought you can hear Johns original guide vocal if you isolate one of the Run For Your Life tracks.

One of the YouTube comments suggest that it's Lennon's rhythm (Epiphone Casino) with Clapton's lead (Les Paul?) cut in every now and then. What do people think? It does seem like two different guitar sounds, and the rhythm part does sound quite Lennonish.
