He played on a wal 5 string bass and on his hofner on his 1989-90 world tour, but (at least in the film get back) not on his rickenbacker. Has he played the rickenbacker after that? Live? In the studio?

But I also considered voting for a Casino but I didn't know whether to choose Paul, John or George's (they've all played an important role in the Beatles sound since '66. Paul was the first to use one, but John is way more famous for using it while I love George's use of it in Revolver (well, everyone's).

Anyways, i'm going to go with the rosewood tele. It inspired me to pickup a telecaster myself and it is such an awesome guitar with really a lot of variety. Plays really fast too. There's something about the guitar work on let it be and abbey road that so damn great.

The Hofner and the 12 string Rickenbacker are most iconic (especially the Hofner of course).

Not being a bass player, I never really noticed the difference between the Hofner and the Rickenbacker.
