I'd forgotten about those sound effects tapes. Wouldn't it be great if EMI would release the tapes under creative commons licences? That way we'd be able to hear what happened to the plane after it landed from Miami Beach BOAC, or whether the blackbirds ever returned. I bet the snippets The Beatles used would stand out a mile due to familiarity.

I heard a noise in the "psychadelic" version of Across the Universe that I think I've heard in Revolution 9, but that seems ridiculous.
