What do You m,ean, “You have the Beatles Mulitracks”?

On The Imagine Multitracks, however, They should be available soon, stemming from the Rock Band Tracks they needed to make for the inclusion of the song on Rock Band 3

I know (I use them occasionally). But multitracks for about 140 songs weren't made.

The Paul ones are on this site somewhere, In the Beatles multitracks thread, and I meant the whole Imagine album.

No Problem. It’s cool to hear parts in isolation.

Yea especially the Piano for Imagine will be awesome.

I actually got a list from a guy that knows a guy that sells multitracks and I went through and I found he has some for John Lennon and Paul McCartney (This is how I found about there being an Imagine one)

John Lennon Gimme Some Truth

John Lennon – How?

John Lennon – How Do You Sleep?

John Lennon – I Don't Want To Be a Soldier Mama

John Lennon – It's So Hard

John Lennon Jealous Guy

John Lennon – Oh My Love

John Lennon – Oh Yoko

John Lennon Imagine

Paul McCartney Band On The Run (Live)

Paul Mccartney – Jet (Live)

Paul McCartney – Sing The Changes (Live)

EDIT: Just realized that was the whole Imagine album, silly me

Is there any evidence that From Me To You was recorded on 3 or even 4 track machines? I know IWTHYH is supposed to be the first song to use 4 track, but Money (That’s what I Want) and From Me To You have vocals in the center of the stereo mixes which require at least 3 tracks. And these are both from before IWTHYH. Any explanation?

Here’s the 3 track master that I’ve envisioned:

Track 1: Lead Guitar, Drums, Bass (left)

Track 2: Vocals, Acoustic Guitar (right)

Track 3: Harmonica, Vocals (center)

Also, this video shows that they did the vocals and rhythm track first, then the harmonica overdubs later:

The da-da-da-da-da-dum-dum-da vocals and harmonica were overdubs “that were fed equally into both channels of a second-generation tape, placing them squarely centred in the stereo image” (‘Way Beyond Compare’ – John C Winn (page 36).

As for the stereo mix of Money “take 7 is an overdub of the whole song; judging from the stereo mix, the original intrumental track was fed to one channel of the new tape, George Martin’s piano overdub to the second, and the original vocals plus handclaps to both”  (‘Way Beyond Compare’ – John C Winn (page 61).

Money was a strange mixing process from all accounts.

(I find it easier to quote from the source than rewrite it all im original words, plus im lazy.)

Must say i got excited when i say the title of this thread. Thought it might be the multitracks from From Me To You . Yes i know im being daft but i have rock band in my head so my excitement arose.

Oh alright. I ask this because I’m trying to make a list of all the multitracks of the Beatles’ songs. Did they do the same with the B side Thank You Girl ? And I totally agree that I wish there were more Beatles multitracks available and TB:RB 2.

I think Thank You Girl was recorded in the normal manner.

A blog by an individual called Helter Skelter has recently begun which is examing the Rock Band multitracks to see what is hidden away and posts the results as downloads. If you havent been there before its well worth checking out.
