Interesting topic, I don't think anyone on this site sees the Beatles as Paul's backup band especially considering how defensive most McCartney fans on this site get, which would make me think that there is more of a John bias on the site. I also don't understand why it always has to be one or the other, the Beatles wouldn't have been the Beatles without all four, so since Paul was an incredibly important part of the four he deserves a lot of credit for what they were able to achieve. I suppose it took me the longest to come around to Paul's stuff just because it's so vastly different from John's, but once I got over the "Paul is the cute one" notion, I've been able to really enjoy his stuff and now he has some of my all time favorite songs like Blackbird, Two of Us, Martha My Dear, etc.

Great synopsis. I like the part about once you got over the "Paul is the cute one" comment. That is what is hard for me. I feel sometimes that if I get really into him again than my friends and people who know me will think I love the current pop music scene which I do not. I have always tried to be sophisticated. Paul used to be my favorite but when I listen to some of his songs, it is a struggle for me because of some of his lyrics and I get embarrassed singing them. What is interesting is that I have more of his songs than any other artist in my iTunes and I have almost 16,000 songs. I guess deep inside I still love his music. I suppose I am a George and Paul fan.

I'm an everyone fan.

To lead a better life,

I need my love to be here.

Here

Making each day of the year

Changing my life with a wave of her hand

Nobody can deny that there's something there.

There

Running my hands through her hair

Both of us thinking how good it can be

Someone is speaking but she doesn't know he's there.

I want her everywhere

and if she's beside me I know I need never care.

But to love her is to need her

Everywhere

Knowing that love is to share

each one believing that love never dies

watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there.

I want her everywhere

and if she's beside me I know I need never care.

But to love her is to need her.

Everywhere

Knowing that love is to share

each one believing that love never dies

watching her eyes and hoping I'm always there.

I will be there, and everywhere.

Here, there and everywhere.

It's a smashing song.

And I neeeeeeeeed her all the time

I really love this song now. Try it again MMM.

I tried to think of something powerful and moving… and failed.  "You were given a choice between war and dishonor - you chose dishonor, and you shall have war" - Winston Churchill

It took me a while to start liking this song too. But now I love it!

And I still can't stand it.

Honestly, I think that this is one of those songs (like "Run For Your Life" or "Why Don't We Do it in the Road?") that I just don't like.

It's not the best on Revolver, but it's a nice ballad. I like Got To Get You Into My Life better. a-hard-days-night-paul-7

When I first heard of the Beatles, my favorite was Paul--because little girls find cute boys cute. And then, as time progressed, George became, and probably always will be my second favorite. It's his sense of humor that got me :^) For the longest time, I tried my hardest to not like Paul because he ditched me in concert three times :^| But as time went on, John started to become my favorite, well, because he's hot, talented, and hilarious. Anyway, now, I can't decide on which one I like. I think they're all my favorite.

But anyway, I think this is my favorite McCartney song on Revolver after "For No One".

I Want to Tell You is a pretty nice song too. I especially like the way it fades in. One of George's better songs in my opinion.

There's no law saying you have to like every Beatles song. No big thing.

I think she does. I really hate to think we are seen as a group of serious, mature, unemotional people.

Here There, And Everywhere has a special place in my heart. I closely link it to a little event that happend.

A certain* person asked me to play "Name That Beatles" (hes also a Beatles fan, and looks like Ringo!!!) And I was able to name every one of them except for Here There And Everywhere. (I'd never heard it before) But It was alright.
