Funny Paper, nobody under 30 is going to get that reference!

Also, did you ever see the old 1980 episode of SNL where Sarducci interviewed Paul & Linda themselves a few months after Paul’s Japan pot bust, ostensibly to talk about his new single/video “Coming Up “? Except he keeps mentioning Paul’s pot habit and the arrest, to Paul’s irritation? Funny stuff!

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

I remember that interview, but I forgot the pot references.  I wonder whatever happened to Guido…

I had to look him up to see what he’s done recently, if that character is even still performed. Turns out he appeared on “The Colbert Report” back in 2010, and also did another couple of things with Colbert that same year.

Why did George only use a Gibson SG on the Revolver album? Afterwards he uses a Stratocaster (the one with Be-Bop-A-Lula scrawled on it) and then by 1969, on Let It Be , a Telecaster.

Recently got an Epiphone Les Paul Junior as a knock around. Great bang for buck. John used the Gibson version for his Madison Square Garden Charity Concert.

Seems weird to reply to a 3 year old post but George used his SG after Revolver , most notably on Hey Bulldog .

If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

My dad has an epiphone Casino and a Sheraton. The Casino is a special John Lennon version. Also, I was this close to getting a Country Gentlemen, but we couldn’t afford it.
