OfflineAnyone ever pick up any Beatle or Beatle-related instruments? I've got the Epiphone EJ-160CE John Lennon signature acoustic/electric guitar. It's the best acoustic I've ever played. I've had it for about three years now. I love it!
I'd love to get the Casino. That's my next electric guitar for sure! I played the Icon Series Hofner B-Bass at Guitar Center a few months back. It was the easiest bass I've jammed on. I'd love to buy it. It's a little less than $400 too, so I'm sure that at some point soon I'll be getting it.

I had a Hofner that was (recently) signed by Paul.

OfflineNot yet, but Ludwig Liverpool 4 kit, will be mine soon. It's beautiful, you really do have to see it. It's based of a Ringo kit.

OfflineGahh! Double post, sorry.
Yep, it's suuuper nice. I swear there's a silent alarm in his room that's connected wirelessly to his brain, and it goes off when I get near that thing. Whenever I get even three feet away from it, he yells "Don't touch Arthur, Kitzia!"
(The name was my idea.

I named my Crimson Les Paul "Lucy". Arthur's not a bad name.

OfflineSpeaking of Les Paul's named Lucy – what other kind of instruments non-Beatle related do you guys have?
I've got a ton of different mics and a ton of different stuff recording wise. My actual instruments however include a Fender Telecaster (2005), Fender Stratocaster (1997), Fender Jazz Bass (1996), Epiphone DR-212 12 string acoustic (2009), and of course my Lennon signature Epiphone acoustic (2007). I've also got a ton of different amps and other what-nots, including a early '90's TKO drum kit, and a casio keyboard. Cool!

My dad's got George's 12-String Rickenbacker! (Well, not George's, that would be insane.)
He doesn't let me touch it.
Sorry to hear that, because I would want to touch it SSOOOOO bad!

I can see from here that your father is a genius…
Talking about this guitar: I read in wikipedia that this 12-stringed beauty is different from your regular 12-string guitars. Can somebody explain me in what way is different?

When I bought my Rickenbacker someone in the pub asked me what it was called, and quick as a flash I said: "Christina… because she's beautiful". Christina Aguilera was at number one with Beautiful at the time. I don't even like the song, but Christina it is.
BTW Kitzia, your Facebook link doesn't work. You've got a redundant facebook.com/ in the URL which breaks the link. And I'm very jealous of your dad!

In the web address just delete one of the "facebook.com/" urls and it should work. I can post it here but I think I need AFT's permission.

I recently bought George Harrison's old Moog, the one used on "Abbey Road" and "Electronic Sound", and was signed by all four Beatles, and had my manservant fly to England to see it delivered safely back to me. Also I recently won the lottery! Also, I'm a terrific liar.
Seriously, though, my actual guitar is some kinda Japanese (?) brand called Alcivar, and it is kinda similar to a Casino (or a Gibson ES335), but I bought it years before I even knew what guitars the Beatles usually used. I'd never buy any brand of instrument simply because so-and-so used it. If I played bass, I'd love to own a Rickenbacker, but only because I love the way they sound, not because Paul used one.

OfflineI agree buying an instrument, because someone used it is kind of crazy. With that said I'll be getting a Ludwig Liverpool 4 kit or "The Ringo Kit", and a bass based on one used by John Paul Jones.

I've got a question: Why do people name their instruments? I don't imply that's bad, just curious.
?And to keep on topic another question. Did the Beatles give a name to their instruments?
