Well, they explicitly talk about the "transition", which doesn't share "some" but ALL chords with "Hey Joe" - you just have to sing it reeeeeeally slow.

I didn't realize this before, but it's true. And Paul WAS a huge Hendrix fan.

It still could be coincidence...

I was just pointing out facts, in any case.
