Was the middle bit in ADITL really inspired by Hey Joe? I know they share some chords, but that’s not the same thing. I’ve never read Lennon/McCartney, or anyone close to them, acknowledge it as an inspiration.

Well, in that case we’d have another point in favour of Paul doing the aaahs, since it’s even more HIS part.
You know we have a lot in common and don’t disagree on much to do with Paul, but this is one thing we’ll have to agree to disagree on! That is so John doing those aaaahs!

This is the only web site where I saw someone claiming that those part was done by Paul. It’s John for sure.
Living is easy with eyes closed, misunderstanding all you see.
