OfflineHm, misleading title, since I DID know most of that stuff.

Was the middle bit in ADITL really inspired by Hey Joe? I know they share some chords, but that's not the same thing. I've never read Lennon/McCartney, or anyone close to them, acknowledge it as an inspiration.
Well, in that case we'd have another point in favour of Paul doing the aaahs, since it's even more HIS part.

You know we have a lot in common and don't disagree on much to do with Paul, but this is one thing we'll have to agree to disagree on! That is so John doing those aaaahs!

This is the only web site where I saw someone claiming that those part was done by Paul. It's John for sure.

Oh no, Joe is going to have a heart attack!
And kedame, you know I like and respect you a lot and we DO have sooo much in common, so it's still surprising for me how someone so smart and sweet and such a big Paul fan can be so wrong about this part! ![]()
But don't worry, I won't repeat any points here that have indeed been said enough times already.
For he relative newcomers here, I had to stop a discussion on this on th ADITL article page because it went on and on. Then there was the nine page debate in this forum: http://www.beatlesbible.com/fo…..l-or-john/
Please, let's not have another.

Well, they explicitly talk about the "transition", which doesn't share "some" but ALL chords with "Hey Joe" – you just have to sing it reeeeeeally slow.
I didn't realize this before, but it's true. And Paul WAS a huge Hendrix fan.
It still could be coincidence…
I was just pointing out facts, in any case.
