In this topic I'll take the challenge to rank every song from Please Please Me. The result of the ranking depends on melody and catchiness, and "Please Please" let me know your opinion! I will make topics like this later for the other albums.

This was an amazing album. Every cut was a hit. I was just a young kid at the time but I was already accustomed to the idea that an album had two maybe three good songs on it and the rest was just filler. This was an album you could never grow tired of hearing.
But for me beginning with that count off of "a 123 faw!" And capping it off with Twist And Shout is the definition of musical joy.

“Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

Although it's mistakenly thought of as a Lennon and McCartney song, this cover has to be one of the most earth-shattering performances from a band. Twist And Shout- Lennon squeezing every breath he's got left in his lungs, Harrison's note perfect solo, Ringo belting the living hell out of his Ludwig kit and McCartneys bass jumping and dancing, with his final HEYYY!!! as they got to the end of the song. The tightest live performance of a song ever!!
