Just in case any recent users haven't seen it before, here it is again! A version of "Flying" with lots and lots of words added (especially "band" and "play")

Nice work, Vonbontee! Very creative.  I liked hearing the out-of-context phrases (Sgt Pepper taught the band to play) mixed in with different beats and chords. It worked for me in a kind of "this-almost-doesn't-work-but-yet-it-does" sort of way. It was fun imagining those phrases as daring new melody lines for the existing song. The new melody lines sounded like semi-dissonant jazz phrases snuck into a familar pop tune, which I guess is to be expected from someone sporting a jazz beard.  😉

Nice to see this resurface, Von. The full versions still give me chills. Have you put the entire Alternate History Tour on YouTube? if not, that would be something to consider.

It's hard for me to listen to all of the other mashup thingies on this site after hearing your full AHT - you've ruined all other mashups for me! Thanks.

feel the band feel the band feel the band feel the band

I was consciously trying for a kind of verbal continuity, ie. finding all lyrics that used the terms "band" or "play" within the 1967 timeframe. Someday when I'm not lazy I'll make videos for other isolated segments of my "Alternate Hystery Tour" magnum opus.

I really like it in a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 that way!

I was confused for a moment though because I only had my left headphone in for a few seconds!

That might be hard - I've got to either find the unllabeled CDR I've got it saved on, or borrow the copy I gave to a friend, or get my desktop computer fixed whose hard drive it's on. I do happen to have two of the four sides on this office computer, but then I've gotta figure out how to post videos longer than 15 minute on youtube! :(
