"The Dakota Scrapbook. Volume 1. Exterior" was just published. As you all know, the Dakota is where John Lennon lived and was murdered. But there is a lot more to know. It was built between 1880-1884. It was one of America's first luxury apartment buildings. It had hydraulic residential elevators, which was a new concept, and its own power plant underground since electricity was new. The rooms in the apartments were enormous. The ceilings of the 1st floor apartments were 15 feet high! The building had its very own restaurant for the strict use of residents and their guests. After all, there weren't restaurants like today and there were no supermarkets. It had its own barber shop in the basement for the use of the guests. It really is an amazing place.
. . . and get 10% off.
There are 3 books about the Dakota offered on the sites. If you buy all three then you'll get 15% off with the coupon code:
These coupon codes expire June 1st.
The book is digital only and comes as a PDF, EPUB, and also as a FLIPBOOK for Mac & PC. The main reason why is so the book can easily be updated with more photos and text in the future and everyone who gets one will be notified of updates so they also get the latest edition. Also, AUDIO & VIDEO will be embedded into the pages of future editions.
"The Friar Park Scrapbook" is next, and then others that showcase their other mansions, etc. If you have any text or photos, then feel free to contact the publisher.
