OfflineMy auntie gave me this CD the other day and it was when the Beatles had just come back from Rishikesh in April 1968. George had this reel-to-reel tape recorder and they recorded their newest tunes on it.
Most of the songs I'd heard before but there are a few bootlegs on there that were released on Anthology but they're not the same versions. There's an excellent version on What's The New Mary Jane on there aswell. It features songs by George like Sour Milk Sea and Circles aswell as others.
I was just wondering if any of you happen to have this CD and what are your thoughts on it.
Thanks

OfflineIts a fascinating, really enjoyable listen. All of the songs are still in the process of being completed and its great to hear acoustic versions of Yer Blues, Revolution, Back in the USSR and all the other songs that turned into rockers. One of the the highlights is Child of Nature which John would rewrite as Jealous Guy for the Imagine lp.
Interestingly over the last few years what sounds like earlier versions of While My Guitar Gently Weeps and Sour Milk Sea, albeit incomplete, have been aired on the radio.
Would make an excellent cd release: The Beatles Unplugged.
