Which songwriting collaboration by mccartney do you prefer. I’ve always loved his collabrations with denny (Mull Of Kintyre , no words) and the ones with elvis costello (my brave face) He officially wrote many awesome songs with linda but I don’t know how much of that he actually wrote with linda. If I forgot some (and I’m sure I did) you can add them in other polls.

What do you think about paul’s songwriting collaborations in general. I think many of the songs he wrote with someone else rank among the best songs by him (and by wings)

The award for the longest thread title goes to…

I voted for Denny Laine – no particular reason.

Elvis Costello for the Flowers In The Dirt and Off The Ground songs they wrote together. After the suckiest of all suckiness of Pauls solo career in the mid 80’s he found someone who he could write good music together again with.  The Lovers That Never Were, Dont Be Careless Love, You Want Her Too, My Brave Face and That Day Is Done are some of Pauls best solo songs and some of my favourites. Its little surprise to me that there was an upturn in Pauls notoriety (tho going out on tour also contributed).

And I believe Macca co-wrote and plays bass on Elvis’ tune “Veronica”. Great song that one.
