Okay, I'll be the one vote in favor of the "violent shade of chestnut" (great description, lol). It's kind of adorable, and the style reminds me of '67-'68 Paul. It was a little distressing to see him already going salt-and-pepper in the 80s, I think it'd be too much of a shock to see him suddenly step out in full-on gray.

Carrying that weight is a hard thing to do. He's Paul McCartney of The Beatles, his voice is no more shot than Dylan's, while he wants to go out and do it, I'm happy to let him, and happy to have seen him doing a few times over the past 20 years. Next time around I'm buying a ticket. Were he to stop today, and leave us in thirty years (possible), we'd all be asking what he might have done.

That is one trait I have always liked about him; he genuinely enjoys performing and fans, enjoys being a beatle, enjoys publicity-and why shouldn't he? I find it very sad if famous people who thrived to be famous loathe the fame ones they have it( George being a case in point). His enthusiasm when he sings is just contagious, and I think his slow numbers still sound very good, and he might sound even better if he just took a little break and gave ...

One exception: James Taylor. His voice is as good, if not better, than it ever was. A few years ago, the Boston Pops conductor said "James Taylor's voice is like a fine wine -- it gets better with age."

What do you think? Should he stop?

No...Why?

He's a musician and composer...That's who he is, and he should continue as long as he is able.

'Some people say' or 'critics'?

Critics are a low form of life who suck the blood of artists, as they cannot create anything life giving on their own.
