I go thru periods of listening to an album twice within a week or two and then dont play it for months - no artist not included. The only artist I can listen to for a long period is the beatles but its never the same thing over and over.

Same Von and Emmy, I'm never really "addicted" to one of Paul's album but I remember when I first heard the "Band On The Run" album, I listened to it about 4 times straight, good times

Anyways at the moment I quite like "Temporary Secretary" even though when I first heard it I hated and thought "Why do so many hard-core Paul fans want him to play this at his concerts???" but now it's kinda of grown on me

I'm the same as Von. I like a lot of his albums but I never feel an urge to listen to a particular one. Particular songs (can't get enough of 'Jet' atm), yes, but not albums.

I'm mainly addicted to the song "So Bad." I have no idea why. It gets stuck in my head and I sing it to myself all day. It evokes the same feelings I used to get as a teenager when my favorite song came on the radio.

"The Other Me" gets stuck in my head as well, but to a lesser degree.

I don't know that I've ever been addicted to any McCartney/Wings album, actually. There are ones I like very much, of course, or even kinda love (Ram and Band on the Run, the usual suspects), but I can hardly recall a time when I've ever needed to hear a Paul album, definitely not the way I periodically need to hear the Beatles. It's more like, "Hm, I wouldn't mind hearing McCartney right now, think I'll throw that on."

I used to be in the "this is granny music camp." Slowly but surely I have been converted to fandom. I actually enjoy Ebony and Ivory, Say Say Say, etc. My wife is still firmly in the OTHER camp. Yesterday in the car, I was playing some pop tunes by McCartney and my wife complained, "This is sappy! Can we listen to some music with testosterone?"

So I played some Lennon tunes and she was pacified. She especially enjoyed "Cold Turkey."

I can stand all day just listening to RAM and McCartney, but I can't stand some of the tracks in Band on the Run for prolonged hours.

I still like his debut solo album: 'McCartney' Playing all the instruments at that time was a rarity and the album has a very laid back style. It's also Beatle influenced since they were still together at the time of the release. Outside of that album, I really like 'Back To The Egg' & 'Tug Of War'

I LOVE Band on the Run but for my money, Venus and Mars is the more satisfying album (apart from the two non-Paul songs, Spirits of Ancient Egypt and Medicine Jar)

If Wings counts than I would go for Band on the Run. One of his most overrated album and I can see why. I can't get enough of the title track along with Mrs. Vanderbilt.

Ram is the one that really endures with me - I'll go long periods without listening to it but when I come back it's always just as incredible as the first time. By contrast, I can barely make it through one sitting of Pipes of Peace! I like the title track though.

Funny you mention RRS, I listened to it last night and again this morning. Great album! Little Lamb Dragonfly, Get On the Right Thing, and Big Barn Bed are favorites, as is the B-side The Mess from that era.

Pipes of Peace is one of his weakest, IMO. Some great songs on there and some weak ones.

For me, Ram is like crack, I literally listen to it 3-4 times a week all the way through and never tire of it! Same with McCartney, McCartney II, and all his Wings stuff. But Ram is *IT* for me!
