Hi Mithveaen. It's always strange when one of the inactive forum members from that mythical time before I arrived pops in.

Paul always does George's song "Something", but why not do a John song too? Is it because "Here Today" is a tribute enough? Anyone who knows?

@tkj Paul regularly does John songs. These have included Strawberry FieldsHelp!Give Peace a Chance, and - on the current tour - Being for the Benefit of Mr. Kite. Perhaps you're missing it because they're all Lennon/McCartney credits.

Oh yes, I totally forgot about "Being for the Benefit of Mr.Kite". I was aware that he had done John songs on his previous tours but when I thought about it earlier today I couldnt think of a John song he does on this tour. Thanks for answering my question.

Paul's June shows have been postponed until October. Right now, his US tour is scheduled to start July 5 in Albany. :-(

Paul, glad you are listening to your doctors. Get strong for all of us.

What was once the Beatles summer of 2014 will now be the Beatles summer and fall of 2014.

I'm glad Paul's taking care of himself.  I was all set to see him next week in New Orleans, but he will be here in October, so I'll it to look forward to.

Cheers!

It looks like Ringo has a break between his October 10 Houston show and his October 15 Charleston show. He should join Paul on stage in Dallas on October 13.

Must be disappointing for all those fans who were planning to see him in June but its far more important that Paul recovers fully so i'm glad he's taking his doctors advice. October isnt too far away and knowing Paul he'll make it up to you all.

Enjoy the World Cup Paul.

Sometimes I forget that Paul's a, um, gentleman of a certain age. Viruses can take their toll on older folks - electrolytes can get out of whack, etc. and it can take some time to fully bounce back. I'm glad he's taking it easy for a while.

Call me selfish, but I'm kind of glad. Now I can save up a bit to get a ticket. Due to current circumstances I couldn't go to the show if it was in June. Plus, Paulie needs to get better! Ringo is also schedule to play around here a few days after Paul. Hmmm..a Beatles week.a-hard-days-night-george-9

Too bad AG and Ex Tex about your show getting postponed. My show is actually now the second show next! Hope he plays that one on schedule, and above all hope he feels better.

Yeah, but it is for the best overall for Paul's health. Ex Tex and I will just let the excitement build.

Recent Toronto Sun interview with Ringo which mentions Ringo checking in on Paul during his illness.

[x-posted to the Ringo 2014 tour thread]

Edit: Access Hollywood interviewed Ringo, where he mentioned being in touch with Paul.
