Official update posted here.

Statement:

Since contracting a virus last week that led to the postponement of tour dates, Paul received successful medical treatment at a hospital in Tokyo.

He will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days rest.

Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes he has received from fans all over the world.

I just read an update that the doctors say he is expected to make a full recovery and just needs rest "for a few days."

Ah, lovely to hear!

This has been such a huge story that a local radio station that normally doesn't bother with breaking news emails sent one with the latest update on Paul and a link to a get-well message.

Huffington Post quotes a Sun article that says that Paul is still in the hospital, despite rumors he'd already been discharged.

The Sun carry a report on Paul out with Nancy walking under an umbrella in London along with a picture. I have no idea how to get the article on here as i have the newspaper and the website is behind a pay-wall.

Yip. Very pleasing news.

Plenty of rest will hopefully have Paul back on his feet in no time (a cracking song it is) and Nancy will ensure he takes it easier than he normally would.

CharityBuzz is auctioning off another opportunity to meet Paul. Highest bid right now is $15,001.00.

Come on lads, if we all chip in, I'm sure we'll be able to raise $25,000, I mean, how hard could it be?

LOL, I'm imagining photo ops of Paul, Newman and two inexplicably wobbly, 10-ft-tall fans.

And I am happy that our Mithveaen is back momentarily! heart

EDIT: Also happy to hear that Paul is feeling better, of course. I didn't even know he'd been ill (I don't follow this thread)
