Its definitely better he is getting treated in a hospital if he has a serious viral infection.

I suppose until there is something official all we can do is wait, no point in speculating.

Examiner's latest update.

Yes, I've seen that he was in the hospital. There are photos of Japanese women holding Paul stick thingies (fans?) with his anime face on them, standing outside.

I read an article that says throughout his career Paul has cancelled 51% of his Japanese concerts.

I just read an "unconfirmed" but "credible" report elsewhere that Mary and Stella have flown over to see him? This can be taken one of two ways: they just want to see that he's ok and visit him (and they've certainly got the money and time to do so) or that it's more serious than we think. Here's praying it's the former.

I really hope he is alright. I just got news today that he is now hospitalized.

My guess/hope is it's just one of those nasty norovirus type things that knocks you on your ass for a couple of weeks but is nothing some bedrest and relaxation won't clear up. Fingers crossed!

I just read an update that the doctors say he is expected to make a full recovery and just needs rest "for a few days."

Official update posted here.

Statement:

Since contracting a virus last week that led to the postponement of tour dates, Paul received successful medical treatment at a hospital in Tokyo.

He will make a complete recovery and has been ordered to take a few days rest.

Paul has been extremely moved by all the messages and well wishes he has received from fans all over the world.

This has been such a huge story that a local radio station that normally doesn't bother with breaking news emails sent one with the latest update on Paul and a link to a get-well message.

Huffington Post quotes a Sun article that says that Paul is still in the hospital, despite rumors he'd already been discharged.

Paul has been released from hospital in Japan, his destination unknown, reports Examiner. New dates for the postponed Japanese shows are being discussed.

The Sun carry a report on Paul out with Nancy walking under an umbrella in London along with a picture. I have no idea how to get the article on here as i have the newspaper and the website is behind a pay-wall.

Yip. Very pleasing news.

Plenty of rest will hopefully have Paul back on his feet in no time (a cracking song it is) and Nancy will ensure he takes it easier than he normally would.

CharityBuzz is auctioning off another opportunity to meet Paul. Highest bid right now is $15,001.00.
