Yeah, alright. I'm gonna do the private thing. I don't want to have a twitter account, but if I get a chance at these things then I guess it's worth it. I'll do it later. Thanks for the help girls :)

You're very welcome! *sending contest-winning vibes*

Paul's going to do another pop-up concert in about 20 minutes at Covent Garden in London.

Edit: Live stream at HuffPost. And if you missed it, you can replay it at that link.

I heard about that soon after it was announced and I thoughT ''should I share that?'', then, ''nah, Parlance would've got there already''.

I was right :D

I wonder if these pop-up concerts are going to become a regular thing? Almost going back to the Wings' days.

Via The Macca Report, Paul's building a robot friend for his stage shows. I think he's gone bye-bye, guys.

Paul McCartney has commissioned the puppet masters who created the horses for hit London stage show War Horse to design a robot for his upcoming concerts.

The former Beatle dreamed up the idea of having an Iron Man-esque sidekick onstage with him as he tours to promote his new album New after reading classic kids tale The Iron Giant to his daughter, Beatrice.

He tells Rolling Stone magazine, "I got this little vision… of me in front of a forest in a checked shirt… and right next to me with his arm around me, was a robot, this very shiny guy. So I'm working with the idea… of having this big guy onstage. I like the idea that I've got a big mate who's a robot.

"This idea has to do with newness. I'm the outdoorsman, sort of a country guy, living out in the woods, but I have this friend, and he's the modern world. In fact, he's the future.

I have a few thoughts on this. First, I wonder if this will be only for Japan, or if the rest of the world will get to see this train wreck, er, the fruits of Paul's creativity!

Already mentioned the showdown between Peaceman and the robot in another thread.

Third, I think Paul should hold a Name that Robot Contest. So far I have Tourbot 3000, but given some time I can come up with better.

Well, if this is a short-term insanity thing for this tour, he could call the robot NEWbie or something of the sort.

I've been meaning to comment on this video. I think it is a bit embarrassing for him to make that face and say that he is ready to see their "cute little faces." Something is just messed up about that. Not good, Paul. Who let you put that video out there?

NEWbie – that's good!

Yeah, Paul's had… issues in the past. There's the "Frozen Jap," the "jap tart" note, the photos with the slant eyes… I think I just repressed this latest video. But, no, not cool.

See no problem whatsoever with Paul's comment. Can't you say to a Japanese girl or boy that he or she has a "cute little face" or is that outlawed by punishment of being thought of as culturally inappropriate?

To me it sounds like he is talking about adults too, not just little children.

So a Japanese woman or man can't have a cute little face? Some people over here it say it to their partners or friends in a jokey complimentary way.

The tone of voice just hit me as being demeaning. Interesting that people can hear that two different ways. I wish I could hear it with your ears and perspective, mmm. I'm a Paulette after all. I should lean toward seeing all his actions in a positive light.

I thought he was being cute, funny and more than anything Paul.

There's nothing wrong with seeing Paul's comments/actions in a realistic light. It doesn't mean he's a horrible person or that you like him any less. If his words strike you as demeaning, there's something to that. I'm sure he didn't intend it that way, but that doesn't make his words any less uncomfortable or even disturbing.

MMM, you may not see a problem whatsoever with Paul's words, but don't just dismiss those who do. We already know, as noted above, that Paul has had previous issues with his portrayals of Japanese people. He's not alone – generally speaking, Westerners have a history of infantilizing Asians, and it's not out of the realm of possibility that he still has some lessons to learn about stereotypes. Again, doesn't make him a horrible person nor does admiring him make him above reproach.

What the hell is everyone so offended for?  Jesus Christ.  a-hard-days-night-john-7
