There's now a link at Paul's YouTube channel. Okay, backing away from YouTube after several listens before I wear it out. heart

Just saw on tumblr!  I really like it!!!  heartheartheart

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I've listened to the song probably a dozen times and I love it more with each listen. It just makes me feel good...the song makes me happy.

FINALLY! :)

My favourite song is 'Stairway to Heaven' by Motley Crue on their 1876 album 'Yellow Submarine'.

Even the normally crap NME have a nice write-up about it. I put a little blurb on my blog about it, too:

Not completely in love with it instantly, but after a few listens.... he's still got it. Paul McCartney has definitely still got it. If this is anything to go by, the album is going to be fantastic!

I'm not normally a fan of Mark Ronson's productions (Back To Black excepted), but this is fabulous. Can't wait for the album!

Please don't spoil my day; I'm miles away

Its really catchy in a good way, certainly makes the album a far more exciting wait. And for some reason I came away thinking of Daytime Nighttime Suffering.

Reminds me a lot of "Got To Get You Into My Life" and "Penny Lane". Really great stuff to have someone of his age still able to sing and make music. First we had David Bowie, now Paul! Could it get much better?

"White Album - My joint-fave Beatles album along with Revolver. They show the two sides of Beatles. Revolver's very controlled - even though it's also very innovative. The White Album's playful and almost ramshackle. It's like a scrapbook kept by a genius. Fantastic stuff."

Not bad! Thanks for posting it! :) Reminds me of "Ever Present Past" -- decent, catchy, but ultimately probably won't be on my Macca playlist in a year. I love love the little vaudevillian "doo doo" + clarinet addendum, though. REALLY looking forward to the album!

You're not the only one who's mentioned that song, and that's no mean feat...DTNTS is a fantastic song!

I wish Sartre, Kirkegaard, and Nietzsche could join the forum to talk about the existentialist themes in this song.

On a lighter note, Paul sings "Don't look at me" 6 times in this song. Yeah, right, like I could quit doing that.a-hard-days-night-paul-8

;-D The harpsichord hook reminds me so much of "Fixing A Hole." Love it.

Interesting experience:  the first time I listened to it, yesterday, my reaction was "ho hum; it's okay, another throwaway vanilla pop song by Paul".

I just listened to it a second time now, and I like it markedly more.

The vocal harmonies in the brief coda at the end (is that redundant?) sound Buddy Holly-esque.

(Note to a couple of commenters above:  I don't hear any harpsichord in it; and I'm pretty sure that coda doesn't have clarinet but actually a bass sax.)

Faded flowers, wait in a jar, till the evening is complete... complete... complete... complete...

Well, that was quick - a cover of the song, and a comment from Brian Ray at the page.
