OfflineCan I vent here?
Well today the tickets for the second date for Paul McCartney concerts are being sold as I speak. (If they're not all sold by now)
And did I get a ticket? Noooo why? Because my stupid niece forgot to ask her grandmother the info for her credit card, and because my stupid sister has my credit card blocked.
The only chance I had to see one of the member of my all time favorite band, chance I might not have again, I have the money to see it, and my stupid family ruins it for me. I could go to see him in another country, but to be honest, I don't have that much money to do it. So that was my chance.
Ok, now I gotta kill someone. Although to be honest, I might go to my room and cry. Damn it. I really wanted to go so bad.

I don't suppose there's a chance you could get standing room only tickets?
I don't know. I'm going to check when the tickets are available to all people. I think the concert is already sold out so.

That sucks. I hate to think what the scalpers will be charging.
Well…. guess what??
I got one!!! It seems they were not sold that quickly, and I got help from one of my sister's friends and I have just gotten a ticket!!!!!! As soon as the ticket arrives (it's sent by Ticketmaster through DHL) I'll take a pic and post it in here.

OfflineWhich city are you seeing it in?
I saw the Miami show. Fantastic! Best show I've ever seen, by anyone, anywhere. Previously, the best show I'd ever seen was the Who performing Quadrophenia live in concert in Tampa. That was an amazing show, and I was in about the third row, right in the center. It wasn't even close between that show and any others I've seen, but Paul topped it. At age 67. And I was far from the stage, in the lower bowl. I can imagine how incredible it would have been if my seats were comparable to those I had for the Quadrophenia show. (As an aside, if you're not familiar with the Who's double-album Quadrophenia, I suggest you buy it. Now. It's not quite as powerful as Who's Next or Tommy, but it's close.)
Since you asked…I'd say the 3rd-best rock concert I've seen was the Kinks in Fort Lauderdale, 1980. "Lola" has got to be one of the funnest concert songs ever.
Coolest thing I've seen…was U2 in a basement bar (the Rathskellar, aka the Rat) on the University of Florida campus. It was their first U.S. tour, and they were getting a little airplay for "I Will Follow", but they were still largely unknown. There were maybe a hundred people in the place.

I'll be watching him in Mexico City, May 28th. And I wish I had seen U2 in their first tour!!!!

OfflineSpeaking of the concert .. (I already got my ticket and tomorrow I'm getting my plane ticket yay!) you might like to know that fans in Mexico are planning some activities to welcome Paul.
there's a big campaing in Facebook to give serenade to Paul (that means, go to his hotel and sing to him). I don't think that's a good idea, but it's there.
But the coolest thing (and I'm so doing it!!) is that the audience is going to sing to Paul.. Besame Mucho!!
The idea is that, if he sings Let it Be, at the end of it everybody at the stadium starts "Cha cha buum.. besameeeeeeee besame mucho!!"and sing the song in Spanish (of course) while the audience raise some posters that say "Besame Mucho" or "Cha-cha boom" and give him a surprise
Here's the flyer of the campaing…. I'm making a poster that says "Cha-cha boom!! Besame mucho Paul!!"

Edit : The flyer says "Cha-cha boom" Mexico sings to Paul. Get ready, when Let it Be ends we will sing Besame mucho (and the lyrics are there). "Let's make of this lyrics an unforgetabble moment"
Yeah I know … cheesy. But it's quite working
Edit : Actually the plan is to sings the song after Hey Jude!. Weird I could swear I saw a flyer saying after Let it Be…

What a cool idea – I hope it all goes well.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, Let it roll for all its worth.
