I have to say, I thought the t-shirts were quite well designed. Normally at gigs I get the sense that they throw any old thing together and presume it'll sell regardless. Good for Paul.
When I was younger I always used to buy t-shirts as souvenirs, but ended up with loads that I never wanted to wear. Also I find there's something slightly sad about seeing people wearing t-shirts with tour dates on the back from years gone by – in front of me at Sunday's show were 2009 and 2003 McCartney t-shirts, but some people were clearly proudly sporting their purchases from the 80s. I think there's a line between classy vintage and ancient that probably shouldn't be crossed.
In the midst of post-concert elation I did briefly consider buying a McCartney-branded teacup and saucer, but then thought "Why do I want a mug with Paul McCartney – Up And Coming Tour 2010 on it?" So I have a programme, setlist, photos and memories.
But don't let that stop you lot! I'm just a grumpy old git who's trying to imagine no (or at least fewer) possessions. The only Beatles things I really buy are books and music – I try and avoid all the key rings, hats, bags, wallets etc.

I have the music (of course!), RockBand, a shirt, and my mother assembled a special box for our 2009 Remasters: She got a shoebox (she collects those, they're dead useful) and printed up HUNDREDS of Beatles pictures and glued them to the box. It's very stylish. Also, the background for my mom's iTouch is the Beatles having a pillow fight after their first number one. But, I must admit that I want to deck my room out in Beatles things. I guess I'll have to settle for my picture of George I drew. (sighs)

OfflineMy parents COULD have gotten really good tickets if they had no souls and were willing to leave us home. But they decided to take their kids, two of which have pretty OK seats. (I'm one of the two!

It's worth it, though, isn't it?
Yeah, even a 68 year old Paul McCartney is still Paul McCartney.
A 68 year old McCartney is better than NO McCartney. My nephew didn't want to go when I invited him to go to the concert in Mexico with me and he says it's one of the worst decisions he ever made…

Haha, I tried to get the All the Best! cover in the background but since I was listening to the Zombies, it went back to the Odessey and Oracle cover right when I took the picture

Hurrah for you! I know you'll have a great night.
Ellie bought me a copy of Good Evening New York City as thanks for taking her to the Cardiff show. I watched a bit of the DVD last night. Good memories.
Is it worth it then, Joe, that CD/DVD?

Yeah, it's not too expensive these days either. I haven't watched or listened to the whole lot yet, but it's largely the same set as the Cardiff show, so it's a nice souvenir. Beats watching shaky YouTube footage from other concerts anyway.

Please feel free to add comments and memories to the article, as I'd love to hear them.
Also, the setlist comes from setlist.fm, but I'm not sure how accurate it is. If any of it's wrong could you let me know please?

But since it was perhaps the only time I would get to see him live, I wanted a souvenir. And a key chain ($10.00) wasn't going to cut it.

Ah, well. It's better than no McCartney.

MeanMrsMustard, you too must tell your concert story!
