I cant see Paul ever writing or even speaking the way that blog was written. Reads likes a 12 year old who went to see their favourite artist in concert and then wrote a report for a school report. No idea who wrote it but would bet my copies of Driving Rain and Press To Play that it wasnt Paul.

I suspect the Ram reissue won't be much longer. KOTB seems to have done well, and he's pretty popular at the moment so there's a lot of goodwill. If he re-released a great old album now I can see it doing well.

However, my guess is he'll put out the new album first, in the summer around June, when he's performing at the Queen's jubilee (4 June) and the Olympics (as yet unconfirmed AFAIK, but he's been in talks with the organisers). What better time to put out a new record?

Paul is working on a new pop/rock album, according to a recent interview with Rolling Stone. He mentioned two songs, Hosannah and The Life of a Party Girl, whose melody he wrote while the interviewer was in the kitchen. Apparently, he has also written songs for a new 3D IMAX movie called The Arctic, about...well, the arctic, I guess. (Which is fitting ...

I'd rather Grohl spent his time recording Them Crooked Vultures II with Homme and Jones, or even with the Foo Fighters, than with McCartney. Still, intriguing prospect. Grohl to play guitar whilst McCartney drums?

I think the standards one will actually sell better, as all the fans of Sinatra and the others will buy it, as well as all the McCartney fans. I'm more intrigued by the standards one, just because it is more unique. But the hard rock one will be better.
