The Sun newspaper in the UK rates the album 4 out of 5. Its gave Ringo 2012 2 out of 5.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8I haven't heard 2012, but 2 of 5 sounds really harsh. a-hard-days-night-ringo-7

I think it got 3 or 4 with the Washington Post.

"Now and then, though, someone does begin to grow differently. Instead of down, his feet grow up toward the sky. But we do our best to discourage awkward things like that." "What happens to them?" insisted Milo. "Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars." –The Phantom Tollbooth

One of the reasons why Ringo 2012 got 2/5 was that it only lasts 29 minutes which, to be fair, is short for an album. Another would be a snobbery remains in that whatever Ringo does it cant be very good.

Going back to KOTB The Times, another uk newspaper, also rates Pauls new album 4/5 so its getting very positive reviews – well the two ive seen so far. Anyone else noticed any reviews out there?

Heard Pauls recover of Baby's Request and it could be an outtake from 1979's Back To The Egg, its really good. I love this sound in music.

I still haven't been spoiled, but I'm getting excited to receive my copy in the mail! The reviews are, for the most part, good. Though there are always those who say, "you can hear the age in his voice…rocking chair music…boring." I don't know if they're right because I haven't heard it yet, but if everything sounds as on par as My Valentine, I think I'll love it.

This album is Paul finally making the record that he's wanted to for so many years – and i think you can hear that in his singing. He sounds relaxed and enjoying the songs.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8 Besides, I don't want to sound cynic but that's a fantastic investment for him, having a "holiday" album.

When a Mexican singer was asked why he did a Christmas album, he said "Well, I love Christmas, and it's wise to have a holiday album. If the album is successful, then the songs will be played in the upcoming years" and he was so right. Since then, I have seen the album on stores in Christmas season. So, who knows? Maybe that it will happen with Kisses on the Bottom.

I'm not saying Paul did this just because of the money, not at all. But it was very smart of him releasing this on Valentine's Day. The man has all the experience in the world and it shows in the marketing of the album. Even if it was named as one of the worst titles for an album. a-hard-days-night-paul-11

I think the title is …. cheeky! (if you'll pardon the pun).

It's from a line in one of the songs he covers, but could also mean "Kiss my ass" as in "kiss my ass if you don't like this"!

I'm with Mith – I hate the title. My Valentine would have been a much better title.

I tried to think of something powerful and moving… and failed.  "You were given a choice between war and dishonor - you chose dishonor, and you shall have war" - Winston Churchill

3 stars in Rolling Stone; that was pretty much my prediction.

The text of the review is actually quite favorable.

Best line: "Context also adds humor: See the 1926 standard "Bye Bye Blackbird," which always vied with McCartney's "Blackbird" for the species theme song."

Paul appeared on Jamie Callum's Radio 2 programme last night.  I heard it on transmission (more by accident than anything else) and found it quite interesting.

Listened to it today. I really like it, especially More I Cannot Wish You and My Valentine. The new version of Baby's Request is great, too!

So I've listened to it about 5 times or more already, and I have to say I love it. I love his voice on it. People who have said his voice has aged say that like it's a bad thing. It has aged, but it's still quite nice.

My favorites are I'm Gonna Sit Right Down and Write Myself a Letter, It's Only a Paper Moon, More I Cannot Wish You, The Glory of Love, My Valentine, My Very Good Friend the Milkman, and The Inchworm.

Can't wait for the iTunes concert!paul-mccartney

I thought the live concert, well the songs up to My Valentine, were excellent live (it was 1/2 3 in the morning, the music is so relaxing and so i was falling asleep). Paul was enjoying himself but came across as a little nervous at times to me, probably being so used to performing rock and roll and being able to move around on stage.

His backing band were incredible, loved Diana Krall's piano playing.

If you werent able to catch it its on itunes for a little while longer.
