I love that album.

Recently I found out what my favorite song from the album is.

Which song is YOUR favorite song?

This album irrates me at times. To go from Abbey Road to this in 6 months depresses me.

I tried to think of something powerful and moving… and failed.  "You were given a choice between war and dishonor - you chose dishonor, and you shall have war" - Winston Churchill

What is unique about this album is the fact that he played all the instruments himself which at that time was to my knowledge never done. I thought for the first time, he pushed the envelope.

Yeah, but he went from Let it Be to Abbey Road...and then from this to RAM!!! Which is, to me, every bit as amazing as Abbey Road. They can't all be masterpieces.

True, but Let It Be wasn't intentionally "sloppy" jams and the like. they still strived for a "Beatley" album. McCartney wasn't Let it Be in any ways.

I wasn't sure where to find somewhere more appropriate to post this, but I just read this:

<img src="/forum/paul-mccartney/mccartney/[Image Can Not Be Found]

" alt="" width="399" height="567" />" alt="" /> It was pretty interesting. The CD that came with it was sometimes 'meh' but I enjoyed it. Part of the article was "50 Reasons to love macca" or something like that. I thought they left out some reasons (can't remember what reasons now though), but there were some cool stories. As they pointed out, the Beatles lasted 10 years, Wings lasted 10 years, and his current touring band has lasted 9. Heads up guys, maybe you should start looking for jobs.

Anyone else catch Macca in Mojo's music magazine?

EDIT: It mainly talks about McCartney and McCartney II

A album of 1/2 filler. Man We Was Lonely has great harmonies with Linda, or a duet as Paul says.

Maybe Im Amazed is a classic Macca song but has been overplayed to the point of becoming tedious. 3 versions of it on the expanded remaster was too much.

I'm looking forward to the reissue of Ram. Recently heard the mono radio promo remixes and rediscovered it. Im one of the few who loves Wild Life.

I can't help noticing the headline to McCartney's right (the left as we look at it). How explicitly does the Kasabian guy mention The Beatles?

Worth noting it says "we have made our revolver" not "we have made our pepper".

Firstly, Revolver > Sgt. Pepper's. But I'm not going to get into that.

Walrus, they say " 'We just wanted a good old-fashioned rock classic,' he enthuses, sat in his turquoise-hue'd home studio outside Leicester, 'Like Revolver, (What's The Story) Morning Glory [Oasis]... S.F. Sorrow [not sure who that is], where every song's a tune, and you're blown away. It squares up to you and doesn't leave you alone.' "

The Pretty Things, and it's supposedly another concept album I think.
