I think he might not care too much if it's a flop or not. Both the McCartney albums were to break away from his bands, with no real commercial expectations - much like the Fireman project, Twin Freaks etc. Of course it'll get plenty of hype, but I don't think another experimental piece would harm him in the long run.

So, rumors abound on 3 separate new McCartney albums. If he pulls a Memory Almost Full and still makes great songs as if there was a band, fine. If he goes McCartney - do it yourself style, then it will flop.

There are rumors about the new Macca album.

It has leaked out from a news McCartney's camp that there will be a McCartney III album from Paul in the fall, around the time when his new ballet "Ocean's Kingdom " premieres in New York City 22 September. The album will be recorded in both London and New York and Paul himself on all instruments, and will not contain strings or horns.

So what do you guys think???
