I now have 5 of the CDs from this set.  I haven't listened to them just yet, and have read mixed reviews about the remasters - but one thing is for sure, they have some nice bonus tracks for someone who doesn't already have this stuff.  On the 5 CDs I have there are 16 bonus tracks all up, and only one of them is a repeat for me (it is on Wingspan).

15 new tracks - that is a decent sized CD.  They range all over the place from non-album singles to B-sides and unreleased tracks.

Nice!  What are the tracks?

"Please don't bring your banjo back, I know where it's been..  I wasn't hardly gone a day, when it became the scene..  Banjos!  Banjos!  All the time, I can't forget that tune..  and if I ever see another banjo, I'm going out and buy a big balloon!"

I've often thought about the bonus tracks when I've gotten my cds. I think it is nice to have all the songs together instead of having to buy separate singles, etc. If there's any consolation for just now finding Paul, it is getting all those bonus tracks on cds.

Interesting!  Mostly Wings, except the last few.  I have them all but my ITunes collection is fairly complete in that sense, usually the extras are on the albums…  any vinyls that I've bought of the albums always have less songs (RAM doesn't have "Another Day" or "Oh Woman Oh Why" for example…)

You have no interest in the new reissue program, trcanberra? You know, the one with all the double-disc reissues that meanmistermustard is constantly gnashing his teeth over in frustration over its deliberate pace? (Keeps complaining that it'll be finished around 2084 or sometime!)

I just want to play. I’d like to think I could work opposite Sinatra, B.B. King, the Beatles, or a polka band... - Jazz musician Rahsaan Roland Kirk, 1967

I'm not sure I will live long enough to see them issued :)

If so, you can help those of us on "this side" with the seances we will hold for John and Paul. Dog them with the "who sang the ahhhs" and the releases. It's your mission for those of us left behind.

I'll see what I can do - but I hope you'll forgive me if I don't start right away :)
