WYWY (that sounds like the initials for some computer interface) is played with Indian instruments only. Actually George is the only Beatle playing there.

*impatient student voice*

But how come?

*slightly annoyed teacher's voice*

Are you trying to be funny with me?george-martin

Why don't you go and listen to the songs, girl?!

WYWY is a pure Indian arrangement and SLH is played by concert harp and strings.

Paulsbass, She knows why. We all those to songs dont have a Bassline.

Yes. I love both of those songs.

(That's why I said "What obvious reasons" in a stupid voice. We do stuff like that all the time at my house.)

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.
mr. Sun king coming together said And yes, YouTube comments are stupid. But hilariously so.

There's a lovely bass bit in the bridge of Two of Us, but I'm a big fan of the Old Brown Shoe bass line, despite its complexity.

You all will have read that Dave Dee is no longer with us. But Mickey and Titch and I would like to carry on the good work that's always gone down in number two.

Ha, another song that HAS no proper bass! That's George playing low notes on his Telecaster.

It thought it sounded too prominent.

Old Brown Shoe was George playing bass? That's not what it said in Revolution in the Head.

Well, maybe Paul composed it. I don't know.

a-hard-days-night-ringo-8Are all Canadians as resourceful as you?

Your post prompted me to read the comments under the article. There seems to be quite the debate amongst the commenters on who actually did play the bass on OBS.

I just hope it doesn't turn into another "Thread Better Left Dead".

*shivers* I don't think I could stand it.

For the most part, no.

It wouldn't get that far, because there is a statement from the alleged Bassplayer saying he played it.

I've actually got that very issue of Creem at home.  In fact, I own EVERY issue! (Greatest rock 'n roll magazine ever, while it lasted, 1971-88)

So I think that makes me pretty damn resourceful as far as that goes!

Why do all good things have to come to an end?
