From paulmccartney.com

On June 28th it will be released an album to celebrate Buddy Hollys 75th anniversary including Paul's version of "It's so easy". Also participate Julian Casablancas, Fiona Apple, Tom Reed, among others.

Here's Paul singing It's so easy in a concert in Texas 2009.

(FYI Paul has the rights to Buddy's songs)

I have to say! I love buddy holly! I think he was a huge part shaping rock and roll. I didn't know about Paul owning all the songs, though.

I heard about this album. The Black Keys did a really well done version of Buddy's song "Dearest". I really want to hear Lou Reed's version of "Peggy Sue".

I didn't know Paul McCartney owned his songs either.

Buddy was one of the greats!  But "tribute" albums annoy me.

I like black music, disco music. I like the disco music that's out now - John Lennon, 1975

I found this on YT this morning. John sings Buddy.

John sang Peggy Sue on his Rock 'n' Roll album, but Paul didn't cover any Buddy on Run Devil Run (His RNR). Interesting.

I tried to think of something powerful and moving… and failed.  "You were given a choice between war and dishonor - you chose dishonor, and you shall have war" - Winston Churchill
